今年最初の歌会は楽しめましたでしょうか。結構初参加の方も多くて驚き。私も今回初参加の方がいる部屋で部屋長をしてルールなどをレクチャーするのを久しぶりにやりました。前は良く引き受けていたのですが、長いことやってないとちょいとたどたどしくなってしまって少し反省。それでもはじめましての方がまた参加して頂けると嬉しいですね。

さて、今回の映画は「アイドルマスターシャイニーカラーズ」です。
櫻木真乃(声・関根瞳)は、芸能事務所283(つばさ)プロダクションのプロデューサー(声・夏目響平)と出会いスカウトされたことでアイドルの道を歩み出す。事務所には真乃とユニットを組むことになる風野灯織(声・近藤玲奈)と八宮めぐる(声・峯田茉優)、そして違うユニットでデビューし始めたアイドル達との出会いがあった。
昨年4月期に放送された「シンデレラガールズU149」を皮切りに、約1年間で3本のアニメシリーズが放送・上映される「アイドルマスター」、その最後の1本となる「シャイニーカラーズ」がTV放送に先駆け全3章構成で昨年10月より劇場先行上映が行われ、今月より最終章である第3章の上映が始まっています。脚本に「アイカツ！」シリーズや昨年公開・放送され反響を呼んだ「アイドルマスターミリオンライブ！」の加藤陽一、監督は「映画すみっコぐらし」「シンデレラガールズ劇場」のまんきゅう、製作は「大雪海のカイナ」などのポリゴンピクチュアズが手掛けています。
劇伴がフィルムスコアリング、即ち先に作られたBGMを場面に合わせて入れ込んでいくのではなく先に完成した映像に対し後からBGMを載せていく手法が取られており、状況よりもむしろ登場人物の心情に寄り添うように劇伴が作られていて、全体的にポエトリーな雰囲気を漂わせているのが特徴です。
原作であるゲーム「シャイニーカラーズ」はアイマスの中でも取り分けシナリオに定評のあるタイトルで、時に重厚ですらあるそのテイストをどこまでアニメに落とし込むのか期待して観ていましたが予想に反して物語はかなり薄味。ユニットそれぞれの理想像を提供しようと行動するプロデューサーの姿は良いものの、主軸にいる真乃もあまり葛藤や成長が描かれているとは言えませんし他のキャラクターもそれほど掘り下げられている感は薄いです。敢えて言うならタイトル立ち上げから1年目くらいのまだ軸足が定まり切ってなかった頃を彷彿とさせます。終盤のクライマックスで展開する283プロダクションのアイドル全員が出演することになる1stライブが実際のシャイニーカラーズの1stライブをセットリストや構成までなぞっていたところを観ると恐らくそのふわっとした感触は意図的にやっていることでしょう。物語の起伏と引き換えにタイトルが持つエッセンスを凝縮した、そんな奇妙な印象を受けました。
製作スタジオがポリゴンピクチュアズということもありフル3DCGで作られていますが立体的なハイライトを宿した瞳や、雨や汗で顔に貼り付いた髪の毛の艶やかさなかなり面白い箇所にこだわりを感じられるビジュアルをしています。同じフルCGでも先行作である白組製作の「ミリオンライブ！」とはまるで方向性が違う見せ方をしているので製作スタジオが持つ特性を見比べてみる楽しさ、と言うのもありそうです。
